I Paid My Tax Online a Few Days Ago, but the Amount Has Not Yet Been Debited from My Bank Account. Is This Normal?

When you choose to pay your taxes online through the tax administration’s website, you benefit from an extended payment period. In most cases, online payment remains available for up to five days after the standard payment deadline.

After validating your online payment, the corresponding amount is not withdrawn immediately from your bank account. The debit generally takes place at least ten days after the payment deadline shown on your tax notice.

If you prefer a faster processing time, you may have the option to request that the amount be debited within three working days following your online payment.

When the scheduled debit date falls on a weekend or a public holiday, the withdrawal is automatically postponed until the next business day.

Once your payment has been confirmed, an email acknowledgment is sent to you indicating the expected debit date. Keep in mind that this date is provided as an estimate, as banking processing times may occasionally result in slight delays before the transaction appears on your account.
