ESCEC International Participates in Freelancers Seminar with the NUJ
On November 16, 2024, Mrs. Faten Amamou, founder and chartered accountant at ESCEC International, was a featured panelist at the Freelancers Seminar, organized by the Association of Anglo-American Press in Paris (AAPA) in partnership with the Paris branch of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ). The seminar took place at the Bourse du Travail in Paris’ 10th arrondissement and brought together a vibrant community of freelancers for a day of engaging discussions and networking.
The event featured three expert-led panels addressing key issues faced by freelancers, from finding assignments to financial management and adapting to technological advancements. Mrs. Amamou contributed her extensive expertise during the session titled “Getting Paid & Paying for It All.” Moderated by journalist and author Linda Hervieux, this panel provided actionable advice on navigating taxation, managing finances, and choosing the best professional status for freelancers.
Drawing on over 20 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and business establishment, Mrs. Amamou shared insights into selecting the right work regime, understanding tax obligations, and knowing when to adjust professional status to match evolving career goals. Her practical guidance resonated strongly with attendees, reinforcing ESCEC International’s reputation as a trusted partner for professionals navigating complex financial and administrative challenges.
In addition to the panels, the seminar included opportunities for participants to network during a midday lunch and a closing cocktail reception. The event created a collaborative space for freelancers to connect, learn, and grow their careers.
